1873-S $20 Closed 3 MS61 NGC. The Closed 3 variety is usually encountered among S-mint double eagles struck in 1873. Survivors are rarely found finer than MS61. This luminous peach-gold representative features vibrant mint frost and a good strike for the issue, though the lower stars and middle curls are incomplete. Numerous abrasions are peppered over each side.
