Made in England by E. Thomason, with a bust of Christophe that is similar to that on the somewhat available copper pattern 1 centime dated 1807, this medal struck to celebrate the (North) Haitian Constitution promulgated on February 17, 1807. Lustrous around details, choice piece (far superior to the Gibbs example, Schulman March 1966 lot 2045), possibly unique without a hole, one of only three known to us.
