A GEORGE III MAHOGANY AND BRASS CASED TWIN FUSEE EIGHT DAY BRACKET CLOCK BY HIGGS & EVANS, the bell top with hinged carrying handle, gilt metal urn shaped finials to the corners, the hinged front with glazed door with foliate fretwork to upper corners, the arch fitted with circular enamel date dial above the enamelled 17cm (6 3/4 ) dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, named 'Higgs & Evans, Royal Exchange, London, eight day movement, pierced brass spandrels. the case sides with brass fish scale fretwork, rectangular glazed rear door, back plate foliate engraved, bell strike, the case raised on four brass ogee bracket feet, height to top of handle 51cm x width 27cm, with pendulum and winding key (3) (Condition report: winds, runs and chimes one hour ahead, winding and case keys are replacements, top of bracket feet gaping very slightly from base of clock in a few places, dial has some faint black marks possibly from hand catching the surface as it moves, left side has evidence of repair surrounding the fret work, small hole on the right hand side approximately half way up)
