A good late 18th century French ormolu mantel clock Lepaute, H.ger du Roi The case surmounted by a woven basket of fruit and foliage over a pair of lions each carrying a swagged handle in its mouth on acanthus scrolls on an inverted break-front plinth, the 5 1/2 inch signed white enamel Roman and Arabic dial with gilt pierced and engraved hands, the large circular movement with pinned pillars and flattened base, anchor escapement with silk suspension and outside countwheel striking the hours and half hours on a bell.
