A GROUP OF FOUR PORCELAIN AND WOOD WALL HANGINGS, REPUBLIC PERIOD
China, Republic period (1912-1949). Of rectangular form, the four porcelain plaques painted in underglaze blue with mountain and river landscapes interspersed with pavilions and figures, eachinscribed and dated year of Dingmao (1927) to the upper right. The plaques mounted into dark wood frames carved in form of bamboo segments enclosing reticulated bands with bats and scrolling vines, the upper and lower registers with precious vessels and trees, the top with metal fittings for suspension.
Condition:
Very good condition with minor wear, small nicks, few scratches, small age cracks, and miniscule losses.
