A diamond set bar brooch,

A diamond set bar brooch, with an old European cut diamond, claw set in a shallow collet at each end, to a blade edge bar, with an open pear shaped frame. Graduated old brilliant cut diamonds grain set to the frame, with pierced scrolls between and milligrain set diamonds, with a central open cluster of old European cut diamonds in pear shaped collets, with a diamond set trefoil at each end. Tested as platinum, later fittings as approximately 9ct gold. 58.00 x 16.60mm, 8.33g Condition report: Later roller catch. There are two large blobs of solder to the back of the section where one of the large old European cut diamonds are positioned. The loop section and wire and suspension eyelet are soldered. I am of the opinion that this piece was once a pair of drop earrings and the blade edge bar and two diamonds, would have swung at the centre. The diamonds are assessed as approximately F-H in colour.
