Wool velvet on wool foundation.
A navy field sown with florets, gems and arachnids, supports four hexagonal navy and brick linked medallions, with oblong excrescences and crenellated old gold highlighting. They are adorned with entomological shapes, navy and brick, with kotchaks (ram's horns). An ivory border with a suite of oak leaves and polychrome chalices, and two brick counter-borders with garlands of bluish kotchaks, make up the frame of this rug. Two-tone highlights. Beautiful homogeneity.
