PERSIA. Achaemenidae. Time of Darios I to Xerxes II, ca. 485-420 B.C. AV Daric (8.26 gms), Sardes Mint. NGC F, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 4/5.
Carradice-Type-IIIB. Obverse: Persian king or hero, wearing kidaris and kandys, quiver over shoulder, in kneeling-running stance right, holding spear and bow; Reverse: Incuse punch. Fairly well handled and with some deposits, but an overall charming and problem-free example of the type.
