MACEDONIAN KINGDOM. Philip II (359-336 BC). AR tetradrachm (25mm, 14.40 gm, 2h). NGC XF 5/5 - 4/5, Fine Style, brushed. Posthumous issue of Pella III, ca. 323/2-315 BC. Laureate head of Zeus right / ΦΙΛΙΠ-ΠΟΥ, nude youth astride prancing horse right, palm in right hand, reins in left; ΣΩ monogram below horse, trident right below foreleg. Le Rider pl. 20, 494 (same dies). Attractive example with handsome portrait of Zeus executed through Fine Style dies on a cabinet toned flan with subdued luster.
