A Transition ormolu-mounted tulipwood bookcase, Ca. 1770, 174x110x38 cm, Provenance: acquired at an anonymous gallery, France, by Pieter Hoogendijk, Baarn, 1993, on behalf of the present owner. The moulded, rounded rouge royale marble top, above a pair of glazed doors, enclosing a beige silk lined interior with three adjustable shelves, stamped PERIDIEZ.
