LARGE PAINTING in ink and colors on silk, depicting Xuan Tian Shang Di (also known as Zhenwudadi), Taoist stellar god, ruling the northern sky, seated on a rocky promontory, a flaming sword at his side ; with, at his feet, a turtle symbol of the north, and a snake, and surrounded, on the left, by his two generals Wan Gong and Wan Ma carrying standard and halberd, and on the right, by a divine couple, Zhougong and Taohuanü, private secretaries of Xuan Tian Shang Di, carrying tablet and offering.
