* A 16th century oak Wainscot chair, the carved foliate and scroll top rail above a panel back centred with an incised lozenge and initialled ‘P D 1539’, over the board seat upon turned baluster front legs and plain rear legs united by peripheral cross stretchers, 103cm high, seat height 44cmCondition report: 5cm chip to rear left hand upright behind the crest rail. Further minor chips and splits in same area.Blocks to both rear feet. Slat running behind the board seat, indicting some level of restoration. Splice repairs to both sides at the joint with the seat rails. Restoration to top of left hand side arm support. General marks, gouges, and wear commensurate with age.
