rare verge watch, multicoloured jewels, Jean Fazy geneve, for Russian market, ca. 1770

Ca. Ø 40 mm, 18 K gold, both sides with multicoloured jewels, firegilt verge movement, enamel dial in perfect condition, original hands with jewel trimming, in working order and very good condition. Jean Fazy 1734-1812 was Geneva watchmaker for Swedish Court and the Russian Tsarina. He died in Moscow in 1812 and was famous for his extravagant verge watches.
