A wheel lock pistol

dating: 17th Century provenance: Brescia, Smoothbore, octagonal, 15 mm cal barrel, areas with damages from rust, frame at the base; external wheel lock held by a carved flower frame, smooth flat plate, sliding pan cover. Hardly legible mark inside (perhaps 'PB'). Wooden full stock restored at the back, small restorations also on the other parts. Inlaid, pierced-iron decorations, engraved and carved with floral motifs. Fine trigger guard with grooves, restored belt hook. Carved, iron-tipped wooden ramrod. length 49.5 cm.
