Constantinople, 4th officina, 9th section. d Ч thЄOdO-SIЧS MЧL A, bust of Theodosius III facing, wearing crown surmounted by cross and lozenge pattern loros, patriarchal cross on globe in right hand, akakia in left / VICTORIA-AVϚЧ Δ Θ, cross potent on three steps; CONOB below. Sear -, cf. 1487 (without Θ). Extremely rare, unpublished with this mintmark. A sublime example with diligently carved details struck onto honey-toned surfaces.
