Den wenigen Zeugnissen nach war der Künstler zwischen 1936 und 1949 in Leipzig tätig, ein Gemälde weist auf einen Aufenthalt in Trier 1935 hin. Sein neusachlicher Stil dürfte der Kunstdoktrin der damaligen Machthaber kaum entsprochen haben. Der jahrzehntelang in Vergessenheit geratene L. wartet auf seine Wiederentdeckung.

According to the few testimonies, the artist was active in Leipzig between 1936 and 1949, a painting indicates a stay in Trier in 1935. His new objectivity style is unlikely to have corresponded to the art doctrine of the rulers of the time. Forgotten for decades, L. is waiting for his rediscovery.
