The painting, 90.5cm (35 1/2inin) x 161cm (63 1/2in) Footnotes: 清 人物像 設色絹本 鏡框裝裱 Compare with a related portrait of a Censor dressed in Ming style court robes, but probably 18th century, in the Art Museum, Princeton University, illustrated by J.Stuart and E.Rawski, Worshipping the Ancestors: Chinese Commemorative Portraits , Washington, 2001, p.107, no.4.12, where the authors note that although the painting is in the Ming style, it is probably a later copy to replace an earlier one in an ancestral temple.
