AN UNUSUAL GEORGE III OAK STOOLPOSSIBLY IRISH, CIRCA 1760With floral needlework upholstered seat45.5cm high, 48cm wide, 38cm deepCondition Report: There are scratches, knocks, cracks and abrasions consistent with age and use. Observations and restorations include: the later woolwork seat intact with signs of age; some opened sectional construction joints; some splits and cracks to the top of the leg/seat rail area, the upholstery and gimp has not been removed to reveal the extent; some rubbing revealing paler underlying wood; there are traces of glue to the underside corners of seat rails suggesting there were previous blocks to these areas and the current blocks are later; the webbing visible to the underside of the seat is fragmenting and revealing horsehair; there are a small number of holes that might or might not be signs of worm. Please see the additional photographs as a visual reference of condition.Condition Report Disclaimer
