1918-S 50C MS65 NGC. While plentiful in lower grades, the 1918-S is scarce at the Gem level. A number of years ago, this issue was even considered rare this fine, though the advent of third party grading has made the survivorship in this condition better known. The current coin displays brilliant, satiny mint luster and is well struck in the centers, with no bothersome abrasions. Finer 1918-S half dollars are rare. Census: 38 in 65, 3 finer (6/23).
