Kelmscott Press.- Voragine (Jacobus de) The Golden Legend, translated by William Caxton, one of 500 copies on Flower paper, printed in Golden type, wood-engraved title, borders and initials designed by Morris and 2 wood-engraved illustrations by Edward Burne-Jones, very occasional light marginal foxing, Autograph Note initialled by Archibald Stirling, of Kier, handsome stiff vellum gilt by J. Leighton, gilt arms of Stirling-Maxwell to covers, yapp edges, uncut, some light discolouration to spines, [Peterson A7], 4to, Kelmscott Press, 1892.*** Originally intended to be the first book issued by the press but it was delayed as a result of its length and problems with the paper delivery.
