Fleetwood Mac: A 'Gold' Sales Award for the single 'Oh Well Pts. 1 & 2', Presented to Fleetwood Mac. In recognition of World sales exceeding 1,000,000 copies, circa 1970, the in-house award presented by Warner/Reprise Records Ltd. 30.5cm x 27.25cm. 'Oh well Part 1 & 2' was unexpectedly chosen by Reprise for release in the autumn of 1969, having been recorded in the summer of that year. The single included two different compositions written by Peter Green. Green, surprised by its selection as a single, asked that part 2 be used as the A-side. His suggestion was ultimately disregarded. Band members John McVie and Mick Fleetwood were sure the single would be unsuccessful, it went on to become the bands biggest selling single.
