MAORI MERE, OR PATU, CLUB Pounamu (greenstone) club, reputed to have been presented by Paora Tuhaere, c.1830-1865,chief of the Ngati Whatua tribe, to Admiral George Tryon, mid 19th century. Stapled repair and fragmented inscription
