1803 S-245 R3 Small Date & Fraction MS64 Brown PCGS. Frosty steel brown with lighter brown and tan in protected areas. Peeps of very faded mint color can be found in a few places. Looks mint state but there is a hint of rub on the highest points of the devices. There is a puff of darker toning before the face and another under the chin plus several small spots of darker toning around the left side of the wreath. No notable contact marks. EDS, Breen state I, with die clashmarks but without the small rim cud over the N in UNITED. Graded MS60 net EF45 and tied for CC#10 in the Noyes census, his photo #23220. Bland says MS60 and tied for CC#5. This cataloger's EAC grade is AU55. The attribution and Husak Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS Gold Shield label. PCGS population 2; 1 finer in 65. 36353.64/13473822.

The large cent collection of Henry C. Colvin was the most significant group of early copper handled by Charles French of Troy, New York. The sale was held in conjunction with the October 1962 Middle Atlantic Numismatic Association (MANA) Convention, French's 80th sale. Among lots in the collection were 42 different 1794 cents.
