3 RAF LOG BOOKS OF LIEUT. A.E.BROWSE R.N.V.R (TIRPITZ)Three Second War Royal Airforce Pilots flying log books formally the property of Lieut. A. E. Browse R.N.V.R. dated from October 1942 to May 1956. The first log book shows service in 785 Squadron, 769, 880 and 827 Squadrons, flying Tiger Moths, Harvards and Barracudas; the second log book dated from January 1944 shows service with 785, 769,830 and 827 Squadrons flying mainly Barracudas. Entries include a dive bombing strike on the Tirpitz on 3rd April 1944 registering a hit, dive bombing strike on enemy shipping on the 26th April 1944 with further strikes on the 6th May, 15th May and a return bombing raid on the Tirpitz on the 16th July with registered hits; The third log book dates from January-October 1945 flying Barracudas, Whitleys, Harvards, Oxfords, Tiger Moths, Chipmunks, Gannets etc to May 1956.
