A large Victorian oak extending dining table by Eadon & Son, Sheffield , c.1860, the rectangular top with a wind-out mechanism and ten leaves, above a deep apron with carved detail, raised on turned and fluted legs, terminating in large Cope & Collinson brass and ceramic castors, stamped with maker's marks beneath, 680cm long 150cm wide 76cm high, with a leaf case and a winding handle Buying this dining table at auction could save up to 0.46 tonnes of CO2e compared to buying a new table. Condition Report Some warp to leaves. One castor off but present. General knocks, cracks, scratches, marks and wear to top commensurate with age and use. The legs are knocked, worn and scuffed, with some more significant wear, damage and repair to lower legs and castors. Winding action functional. Joints generally. The table would benefit from some professional attention, but is generally structurally sound. Some looseness in joints to the case, which doesn't appear totally sturdy when all leaves are inside it.
