Blue-Green Landscape with Scholars, dated 1788, handscroll, ink and colors on paper. Signature: „On the twenty fourth day of the tenth month in the wushen year (1788) of the Qianlong period, Song Baochun from An’yi“. One seal of the artist: „Song Baochun yin”. Four collector’s seals: “Erxi shanren”, “Deyu shending”, “Wu shi Yunqingguan suo cang shuhua” etc. Inscription on the frontispiece (shitang), signed Luo Yunzhao and dated the gengxu year (1790). One postscript with seal “Fang Junren”.

Song Baochun, style name Shuaichu, was from An’yi in Shanxi province. He was an official and a connoisseur of stone and bronze inscriptions. He also excelled in painting, calligraphy, and seal carving. His landscapes are said to follow the style of the Northern Song dynasty. The style of this handscroll is different.

Blau-grüne Landschaft mit Gelehrten. Handrolle, Tusche und Farben auf Papier. Aufschrift: "Am vierundzwanzigsten Tag des zehnten Monats im Wushen-Jahr (1788) der Qianlong-Zeit, Song Baochun aus An'yi". Ein Siegel des Künstlers: "Song Baochun yin". Vier Siegel des Sammlers: "Erxi shanren", "Deyu shending", "Wu shi Yunqingguan suo cang shuhua" usw. Inschrift auf dem Frontispiz (shitang), signiert Luo Yunzhao und datiert auf das gengxu Jahr (1790). Ein Postskriptum mit Siegel "Fang Junren".
Aus einer süddeutschen Privatsammlung, großteils in den 1960er-/ 1970er-Jahren in Hongkong und Jakarta erworben
Song Baochun, Stilname Shuaichu, stammte aus An'yi in der Provinz Shanxi. Er war ein Beamter und ein Kenner von Stein- und Bronzeinschriften. Auch in der Malerei, Kalligraphie und Siegelschnitzerei war er hervorragend. Seine Landschaften sollen dem Stil der Nördlichen Song-Dynastie folgen. Der Stil dieser Handrolle ist anders.
