THE BEATLES - PAUL MCCARTNEY - HANDWRITTEN NOTES ON HENRY MCCULLOCH LEAVING THE BAND.
Two pages (each 21 x 29.5cm), one bears a stamp from Paul McCartney's Scottish home 'High Park Campbeltown Scotland' and a handwritten draft by Paul McCartney with amendments of a letter (likely c July 1973) that is seen in full on the second page (with no stamps). The note reads:"H. M'Cullough has left Wings due to the usual musical differences and by mutual agreement. Everybody thinks its for the best and wish each other well in the future." with a doodle also by McCartney underneath. With folds, otherwise both pages in excellent condition. From an interview, McCullough says:"I walked away at a very wrong time, which was just like a week before going off to Vegas. We had all been up and rehearsed in Scotland at his place, the Mull of Kintyre, when meself and Paul had a few words to say to each other on a particular day and that was it. The minute he left I knew that was it. I just packed my guitar, I didn’t say anything to Paul. I just left. And it was probably the most unprofessional thing I’ve ever done in me life."Authenticated by Roger Epperson prior to this sale.
