1794 Talbot, Allum, & Lee Cent, Without NEW YORK, XF40 PCGS. Fuld-1, W-8560, R.5. Talbot, Allum, & Lee was a partnership formed in 1794. Their New York City store was located at 241 Walter Street. Tokens were struck for the firm by Peter Kempson's private mint in Birmingham, England. Tokens of the firm are dated 1794 and 1795. Most are common except for the 1794 Fuld-1, which lacks the inscription NEW YORK. This is a late die state example, showing a large retained obverse die break across the right border. Each side is smooth and well detailed, with medium brown toning and moderate build-up in protected areas. Listed on page 74 of the 2024 Guide Book. Population: 4 in 40, 4 finer (11/23).
