Life Guards Officer / Warrant Officer Helmet A very good example tailored by Firmin & Sons of a post 1953 example. Skull of German silver decorated with gilt brass laurel and oak leaf design. Gilt rose pattern ear bosses support a gilt brass leather backed chin chain. To the front, Officers helmet plate of half laurel/half oak leaf wreath surrounding the collar of the Order of the Garter and surmounted by a Crown. Mounted to centre is a cut silver star of the Order of the Garter. The gilt pierced Garter is set onto blue enamelled ground, to the centre, the Cross of St. George in red enamel. To the top of the helmet a gilt and silver spike rises from an eight pointed star and supports the white plume. Complete with original soft leather lining of the Other Rank?s pattern. Minor service wear, Near Parade Condition. The plume is the correct pattern, but is a replacement which does not fit correctly PAYMENT BY BANK TRANSFER ONLY
