An extremely rare Proof of Record set for George V's final year of coinage, the King having died in January 1936. Only a handful of examples were struck of each denomination, all of which seldom appear at auction and reliably generate strong bidding when they do. This group stands head and shoulders above the norm in terms of technical quality, mostly gems or above exhibiting matching argent-gray color, fields with considerable flash and a subtle steel-blue tinge, devices razor-sharp and clearly produced to an exceptional standard.
