French Somaliland Banque de l'Indochine, Djibouti 1000 Francs ND (1945) Pick 18s Specimen PMG About Uncirculated 50. Curiously, there is a small Specimen number "20" in the bottom right corner, which indicates that a small quantity of notes were morphed in this manner. This note features a two digit serial number within the first prefix of issued notes. Lightened stains, staple holes, and small tears are seen. A perforated cancellation and red Specimen overprint complete the transformation. An uncommon addition for a collection. This specimen note is plated on page 308 in Raphael Dabbah's reference, Printed in Palestine.
