Possibly Unique Victorian Royal Artillery Officer’s Sword Presented to a Jewish Officer, regulation Wilkinson blade (not numbered) etched with the owners crest and initials WJS, a panel containing a quote from the Psalms of David – 144 in Yiddish, crowned royal arms and cypher, union flowers, regimental title and device, and profuse scrolling, regulation triple bar steel guard, silver wire bound fish skin covered grip, in its steel scabbard. Blade 89.5cms. Fine clean condition. William James Smythe R.A. promoted Captain 6.5.1845, Lieut Colonel 1.4.1855. Together with research notes.
