Tetradrachm, unsigned dies in the style of Eukleidas circa 400/395-390, AR 17.27 g. Charioteer, holding kentron and reins, driving fast quadriga l.; above, Nike flying r., crowning charioteer with wreath. In exergue, dolphin r. Rev. [ΣΥ] – ΡΑ – Κ – ΟΣΙ – ΩΝ Head of nymph Arethusa l., hair in bands, wearing double-loop earring and necklace with frontal pendant; around, four dolphins. SNG ANS 296 (these dies). Rare. A lovely portrait struck on an exceptionally fresh metal and with a superb old

cabinet tone. Obverse slightly off-centre and obverse, as usual for this issue, from

a worn die, otherwise good extremely fine
