JAMES BOND: THE SPY WHO LOVED ME (1977) - Ken Adam Lotus Submarine Production Design Autographed by Roger Moore and Ken Adam A production copy of the iconic Ken Adam-designed Lotus submarine autographed by Roger Moore and acclaimed production designer Adam, from the production of Lewis Gilbert's Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me. James Bond (Moore) drove a Lotus Esprit, which converted into a submarine. Sir Kenneth Adam made his name as a production designer on the Bond films of the 60s and 70s, as well as other classics such as Dr. Strangelove. Adam won two Academy Awards® for Best Art Direction in his career, for Barry Lyndon and The Madness of King George. Printed on cartridge paper, the design shows the Lotus from three different angles and has "Studies for "Lotus" Submarine" handwritten by Adam in black ink below. Adam has also signed the design at the bottom right, while Moore has inscribed "Thank you" with his autograph. The design was originally sold in the "Design of the Times" auction at Sotherby's in March 2003.
