A Pair of Victorian Gothic Revival Oak Bookcases, late 19th century , the moulded cornices above adjustable shelves and pole form supports with moulded bases, with open niches for shelves, on moulded plinth bases, 192cm by 57cm by 223cm Bookcase one - with a stain on top (as photographed). Stained and with various scratches to the middle section. Further ink stains? to the shelves. Timber very dry and faded in places particularly around the cornice and end panels. Left-hand of the cornice with various old decay. Bookcase two - further in fading in comparison. Old decay around the cornice mainly around the right-hand side. Particularly dry around the base. Traces of paint around the side panels. Please note the skirting and moulding around the middle section of each bookcase has been cut to fit around something. Bookcases need some attention to strengthen structure.
