At the base of the letter Satie annotates in an amusing way, being ''rhume'' a cold, and ''rhum'' the rum, and referring to his upper asterisk `*de la Jamaique´ (''*from Jamaica'') To a postscriptum Satie states `P.S. Dites bien des choses à Mademoiselle Roux; et remerciez-la de ce qu´elle travaille les descriptions automatiques´ (''P.S. Tell kind things to Mademoiselle Roux; and thank her for working on Descriptions Automatiques'') With address leaf to the verso in Satie´s hand. Postmarked.
