1862 $1 -- Cleaned -- NGC Details. Unc. OC-1, R.3. Osburn-Cushing Die State b/b, lightly clashed on Liberty's lap and within the reverse shield recesses. This dollar is brilliant and bright, showing semireflective fields that complement mostly well-struck and satiny devices. The upper obverse stars and Liberty's temple exhibit trivial softness. Minor abrasions are evident throughout. The brightness of the surfaces, coupled with hairlines, reveal the cleaning noted by NGC, though eye appeal remains for the budget-conscious collector. Only 11,540 Seated dollars were struck in 1862, all at Philadelphia.
