A David Brown/Case 885 3 cylinder diesel-engined,

A David Brown/Case 885 3 cylinder diesel-engined, 12-speed farm tractor with safety cab and having the local registration No. LCJ 158P, first registered on the 3rd January 1976. VIN/Chassis/Frame No. 885/1 637883 and accordingly manufactured in 1975. Quite smart in the D.B./Case white and orange livery and currently showing 3,816 hours (Not warranted, but looking at the condition, could well be correct). Currently shown as untaxed by the D.V.L.A. Had been standing for a time and the battery had life, but insufficient power to turn the engine over, however with a jump-pack she soon burst into life and appears to operate as would be expected during loading and being moved around the sale-yard. Power steering is fitted. Two owners from new, the first from Llanover, Abergavenny until circa 1/04/1998, the second, now sadly deceased, a highly regarded and much missed loyal customer of ours. A related V5C is present but it is the blue version that has been superseded by the red type. The tinwork has suffered from a little corrosion but is surprisingly straight and this tractor could easily be made very presentable. An ideal workhorse having live-drive P.T.O., and with about 47 h.p. available, capable of a large range of duties or perhaps to be cosseted as part of a collection and/or used for road runs this coming season.
