Proof Barber Half Dollars
1892 50C PR65 Cameo NGC. Dusky lavender-gray and blue-green toning encompasses this Gem Cameo proof, while pronounced field-device contrast is apparent on each side when angled away from a light. The usual touch of softness is seen on the right shield corner, but the eagle's talons are well defined, as are the obverse border stars. A loupe reveals a few faint hairlines on the cheek that singularly prevent an even finer grade. Census: 34 in 65 Cameo (1 in 65+, 1 in 65★), 44 finer (10/23). From The Riccolo Collection.
