Rare Imperial German Other Ranks Pickelhaube for 3rd Battalion Infantry Regiment Nr 96 (Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt), good untouched example of a leather shell pickelhaube with uncleaned brass mounts. Helmet is fitted with its original Prussian eagle helmet plate with ‘FURST’ motto as opposed to ‘KONIG’ and starburst centre with coat of arms of Scharzburg-Rudolstadt. Helmet is fitted with its original brown leather chinstrap (small split to end section) and original reichs and rare state cockade in blue, white and blue. Helmet is complete with its original leather liner. Helmet plate with large dish plates behind the plate. The helmet has no visible regimental or army group markings.
