Within a square, 'bism Allāh al-raḥmān al-raḥīm / Allāh ḥasbī wa niʿm / al-wakīl ʿabd Allāh / amīr al-muʾminīn' ('In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Allah is Sufficient for me and He is the Best Guardian. The Servant of Allah, the Commander of the Believers' in Arabic); in the margin, 'innā / fataḥnā laka / fatḥan / mubīnā' ('Verily We have given thee a manifest victory' in Arabic; Qurʾān 48: 1). Rev. Within a square, 'al-Nāṣir li-dīn Allāh / al-Qāʾim bi amr Allāh / Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad ibn al-aʾimma / al-rāshidīn' ('al-Nasir li-din Allah, al-Qaʾim bi amr Allah, Muhammad son of Ahmad son of the rightly-guided imams' in Arabic); in the margin, 'ḍuriba bi ḥaḍrat / Murrākush ḥāṭahā / Allāh ʿām sitta / ʿashar wa alf' ('Struck in holy Murrakush, may Allah protect it, in the year 1016' in Arabic).
