Hsüan-t'ung silver Pattern 1/2 Dollar (50 Cents) ND (1910) XF40 PCGS, Tientsin mint, KM-Y23, L&M-25. A wholly respectable straight-graded representative of this scarce and coveted one-year type. Admitting balanced wear from a tour in busy circulation, still retaining appreciable character to the dragon motif. Facing up with somewhat silty crevices, otherwise with even cloud gray patina across the subdued fields. Attainable here in an honest lower-quartile grade of the census, as the loftier grades tend to obtain closer to five-figure sums.
