PHRYGIA. Laodicea ad Lycum. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Medallion (Bronze, 36.17 mm, 27.83 g) Time of Antoninus Pius, circa 139-144 struck under the archiereus P. Kl. Attalos. ΓƐΡΟVϹΙΑ ΛΑΟΔΙΚƐΩΝ Veiled and draped bust of the Gerousia right, with long curl on neck. Rev. Π Κ ΑΤΤΑΛΟC [...] APXIЄPATЄ[...]N AN ЄΘΗ Men draped standing to left, wearing Phrygian cap, crescent behind his shoulders, the left foot on bucranium at ground to right, holding long scepter with crescent in the right hand and pine-cone and drapery on the left hand. Mionnet - ; SNG von Aulock - ; RPC online IV.2, 11601 temporary. Brown patina, some scratches, otherwise, Very Fine. Extremely rare. Only 1 specimen recorded by RPC.
