1795 1/2 C Lettered Edge, C-1, B-1, R.2, XF40 NGC. Manley Die State 1.0. Cohen-1 is the 1795 Lettered Edge, With Pole Guide Book entry, distinct from its Lettered Edge, Punctuated Date C-2a successor. This is a better-grade example with olive-green fields and lilac-tinged high points. The merged dentils near the ED in UNITED are customary for C-1. The F in OF shows a gray spot and has a pair of thin vertical field lines nearby.
