A GEORGE II BURR ASH KNEEHOLE DESK OR DRESSING TABLEMID 18TH CENTURY81cm high, 89.5cm wide, 51.5cm deepCondition Report: Desk with the marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old chips and splits. Various old veneer and moulding repairs - see images. Evidence of old worm - see images. Some filler used in places. The bottom panel of one drawer lining is a later replacement. Feet appear to be old replacements as do the back boards. Handle to the centre of the cupboard door is an old addition. All other handles and locks appear original. The fixtures to the insides of the drawers securing the handles vary. No key is present, but all locks are open.
