A Chinese blue and white ‘lotus’ vase, hu, Qianlong seal mark but Republic period, moulded with a pair of animal mask ring handles, finely painted with lappets to the neck above two registers of lotus flowers scrolling tendrils and leaves, above a further band of waves, 26cm high Provenance: The owner’s parents lived in Hong Kong before 1940 when they purchased this vase, thence by family descent. ***CONDITION REPORT*** Typical minor glaze imperfections including some fritting to the glaze on the ring handles, otherwise in good condition with no restoration, chips or cracks detected.
