A GROUP OF SEVEN SILK BOLTS Late Qing Dynasty Comprising of a multi-coloured bolt made of sequences of squares each enclosing a flowering shrub, 404cm (159in) long ; the second with damask roundels each containing a pair of four-clawed dragons amidst blossoming flowers on a cream ground, 580cm (228 1/2in) long ; the third with damask designs of dragons and phoenixes, 623cm (245 2/8in) long ; the fourth with damask floral design on a ivory ground, 999cm (393 2/8in) ; the fifth with shaped roundels enclosing archaistic 'C' designs and vaporous scrolls on a vibrant blue ground, 260cm (102 3/8in) long ; the sixth with riverside scenes dotted with pavilions, sanpan and trees on a black cut-velvet ground, 290cm (114 2/8in) ; the seventh with continuous diaper patterns on a brick-red and brown ground, 343cm (135in) long .
